While the covid-19 isolation lasts, giving us all extra time for reflection, my mind switched from my usual fresco-making techniques to exploring the technical opportunities of decorative plastering. I started with crafting finer details and images in landscapes and portraits – all the stories that I will be sharing with you soon. Here is the first experiment, a dreamy landscape painting, where I used pigmented Italian plaster and acrylic colour wash to create dense colours and draw controlled lines with an 8-inch trowel. The work is made on 50 x 50 cm canvas.
Thanks for watching!
